Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team in Greenwich, CT. The Medical Assistant plays a key role in supporting providers, clinical staff, and patients by assisting with both administrative and patient care activities. This position helps ensure efficient daily operations while contributing to a positive, patient-centered experience.

• Responsibilities
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, and prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures, treatments, and patient flow throughout the day.
• Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and visit details within the electronic medical record.
• Schedule patient appointments, referrals, testing, and follow-up visits as needed.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
• Maintain exam room supplies, ensure cleanliness, and support infection control standards.
• Perform administrative duties including patient check-in/check-out, record maintenance, and insurance verification.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to deliver high-quality patient care and excellent customer service.
• Essential Skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy when documenting patient information.
• Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Medical Assistant certification preferred.

• Previous experience in a physician practice, outpatient clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows preferred.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Work Environment

This position is based at the Greenwich practice and operates within a professional outpatient healthcare setting. The role involves direct interaction with patients, providers, and clinical staff throughout the day. Work is performed in both clinical and administrative environments and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a high standard of patient care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwich, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
