Gallant Business Solutions is hiring a Program Analyst III (Transit Program Coordinator) to support Prince George’s County Department of Public Works & Transportation (DPW&T). This role focuses on coordinating transportation programs, managing stakeholders, and supporting project execution across transit initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Planning & Scheduling Support

• Conduct studies and data analysis to improve service efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Support short-term service planning and scheduling recommendations
• Assist in translating strategic transit plans into actionable initiatives
• Coordinate with internal teams to assess operational impacts of service changes
• Ensure stakeholder engagement in service planning and changes
• Support compliance with regulatory, environmental, and Title VI requirements

Capital Project Support

• Collaborate with teams to support planning and execution of capital projects
• Assist with grant applications, funding coordination, and financial tracking
• Support audit preparation and compliance with funding requirements
• Identify and support new funding opportunities for transit improvements

Program & Project Management Support

• Support annual business planning and resource allocation processes
• Track project progress and prepare updates for leadership and stakeholders
• Develop templates, documentation, and process improvements
• Assist with reporting to leadership, the public, and governing boards
• Support coordination with municipalities and community organizations
• Additional duties may be assigned based on evolving OT initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Transportation, Public Administration, Engineering,Business, or related field (required)
• 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
• • Transit or transportation planning
  • Urban planning
  • Transit operations
  • Transportation engineering
• OR Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for experience
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Experience with data analysis, planning tools, or reporting systems (preferred)

Work Details

• Full-time, Monday–Friday (on-site in Largo, MD)
• Limited telework (1 day/week, not Wednesdays)
• Long-term contract (9+ months) with potential for permanent placement
• Valid driver’s license may be required
