Sterile Processing Technician

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the processing of surgical instruments and equipment. The technician will perform sterilization, decontamination, and assembly of surgical trays. Experience with Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Orthopedics, Transplant, and GYN cases is preferred. The position requires rotating weekends and holiday coverage. The technician will float to sister facilities as needed. All time off must be provided at the time of submission and will not be approved post-contract signing. Facility may call off one shift every two weeks with specific guidelines on callouts and tardiness. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season. Completion of required pre-start compliance is essential before starting the position. Candidates should not have planned time off that will interfere with compliance deadlines.
