Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Duties You will apply advanced trades knowledge and techniques in of operation, capabilities and limitations of electronic equipment and systems. You will guide, train and mentor shop personnel performing the removal, disassembly, overhaul, troubleshooting, modification, repair, installation and testing of various electronic equipment. You will explain work requirements, methods, and procedures, instruct on new procedures, and provide advice when problems arise. You will setup, operate and troubleshoot the various types of equipment utilized to manufacture and overhaul surface and sub-surface ship components. You will use a variety of technical manuals and specifications to determine requirements and ensure quality control is maintained. Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen.
