Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Must possess a valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - ICU experience - Patient ratio experience of 2-3 - Charting system experience required Description: This position is part of the hospital float pool staff. The nurse will be expected to float throughout various departments including the Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU. Floating will be required within the facility's scope of practice as needed. The patient-to-nurse ratio may be up to 1:6 in Medical Surgical. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. No call duty is required for this position. Travelers are expected to work during major holidays, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day, as applicable. Compliance with onboarding requirements is mandatory to start on time. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling requests. Holidays falling within the assignment period will require availability to work. Full compliance is required to meet the start date.
