Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to a diverse patient population, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal recovery outcomes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient management in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to rehabilitation patients, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient needs.
• Perform patient transfers utilizing Hoyer lifts, sliding boards, and other transfer equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physicians' orders and facility protocols.
• Document patient progress and procedures accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with patient assessments, discharge planning, and education to support recovery goals.
• Adhere to unit policies, including bedside reporting, hourly rounding, and bed alarm activations.

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure with at least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in rehabilitation settings.
• Proficient in EMR systems and transfer training.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of patient transfer techniques and rehabilitation procedures.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and initiative skills.
• Willingness to float between Med-Surg, Tele, Renal, Urology, Orthopedics, and overflow units as needed.
