Software Development Manager - AWS IAM Identity

Salary: $110,000 - 150,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader with at least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• We need 7+ years of direct experience working within engineering teams.
• We require 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, with a strong focus on design patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• We expect 8+ years of experience leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• We value strong knowledge of engineering practices across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
• We prefer candidates with experience partnering closely with product or program management teams.
• We also welcome experience communicating with users, technical partners, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain product features, describe technical designs, and shape product strategy.
• Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and managing software engineering teams to improve their effectiveness is preferred.

• We develop and execute project plans and delivery commitments while managing the engineering teams day-to-day work in an agile environment.
• We staff, mentor, and grow a top-tier engineering organization.
• We operate the service as a critical production system.
• We collaborate closely with engineers to design and build strong technical solutions, while serving as a hands-on technical leader and contributor.
• We report progress on development, quality, operations, and system performance to management.
• We coach and support team members in their career, technical, and growth journeys.
• We help define new features and initiatives, and may contribute to the creation of new AWS services.
• We unblock the team quickly, take ownership, and work effectively in ambiguous situations.
