The Impact You'll Make in this Role As the Enterprise Operations Controller and COGS Operational Finance Leader, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Own the global COGS reporting for 120+ sites supporting +$25 B in Revenue which includes creating and managing reports that provide operational teams the right level of visibility and analysis to drive business results.
• Lead a team of six colleagues.
• Partner across the organization with Finance, Enterprise Ops and Controllership by providing better visibility and understanding of standard costing, manufacturing variances and providing guidance on how actual results flow through the P&L and connecting the dots to drive monthly reporting and improved forecasting.
• Own and drive global operational policies for COGs processes (e.g. inventory adjustments, standardization and simplification).
• Drive efficiencies in the standard cost and inventory revaluation budget setting process.
• Lead inventory reduction and scrap reduction efforts.
• Support ad hoc requests and Health Care spin activities as needed.
• Possible additional responsibilities of this role given the team is newly formed and developing.
• Drive key COGS transformation projects.
• Lead training and data requirements for COGS reporting in partnership with all finance and non-finance teams.
• Support COGS transformation activities including ERP deployments and Healthcare Spin.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• 15 years of finance/accounting or supply chain/logistics job experience in a private, public, government, or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Masters in Business Administration, Certified Professional Accountant (CPA), and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification
• Effective Team Leader
• Strong financial and business acumen-ability to translate complex business problems into financial terms and vice-versa
• Self-starter with ability to drive change
• Creative problem solver
• Experience with contributing on cross-functional teams and influencing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
