Associate Director, Contracts

Beam Therapeutics

Cambridge, MA

Beam Therapeutics seeks an Associate Director of Contracts to manage the full lifecycle of diverse agreements across clinical, manufacturing, and corporate functions. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts while identifying risks and supporting business objectives through cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts throughout full lifecycle from intake through execution and record retention
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements supporting clinical, research, manufacturing, and commercial activities
  • Identify and escalate contractual, legal, compliance, privacy, financial, and operational risks
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, clause libraries, and contracting procedures
  • Coordinate approvals and recordkeeping through Agiloft and other systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree; JD preferred
  • 10+ years of contracts experience
  • Expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of legal, compliance, privacy, and IP risk assessment
  • Proficiency with contract management systems such as Agiloft
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred
