Manager, Accounting

Accounting Manager at a medical device and healthcare company managing a team of accounting specialists and senior accountants. Oversees general ledger operations, monthly financial close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting with cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly journal entries, balance sheet and P&L reconciliations for assigned accounts
- Lead team of 3-5 accountants with training, support, and oversight of work quality
- Review account analyses and financial statements; explain significant fluctuations
- Direct monthly financial close process and ensure timely sub-ledger updates to general ledger
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, finance, procurement, and operations teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 8+ years corporate or public accounting experience
- At least 2 years managing accountants and reviewing their work
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with financial data
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and computer systems
- Oracle ERP systems experience preferred
- CPA or MBA certification preferred
Compensation: $109,250-$149,500 USD base salary
