One of our honored clients is a global power-equipment manufacturer establishing a U.S. West Coast presence, focused on small-capacity international-brand natural gas and diesel generator solutions for commercial, industrial, and residential markets. Position II Job Title: Director of Distribution Sales - Power Generation (Gas & Diesel Generators) Job Type: Full-Time Salary Range: To be negotiable Position Overview The Director or Manager of Distribution Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and developing a high-performing regional sales team, driving revenue growth across the California territory, and building lasting relationships with distribution partners and end-user customers. You will set the tone and direction for success—inspiring your team to hit and exceed ambitious goals while shaping strategy, improving processes, and staying ahead of the competition. This role can be based in either the Los Angeles(Prefer) or San Francisco metropolitan area, with frequent travel throughout the region. Key Responsibilities Lead, inspire, and develop a regional sales team of distribution account managers and field sales representatives Provide coaching, training, and clear performance expectations to drive individual and team success Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent to build a winning regional sales organization Develop and execute sales strategies that deliver consistent revenue growth and market share expansion Set quarterly and annual targets, forecast performance, and ensure your team consistently achieves their numbers Identify and pursue new market opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels Join your team on key customer calls to help advance opportunities and close major deals Channel & Customer Relationship Management Build and strengthen relationships with distributor partners, electrical contractors, engineering firms, and industrial end-users Lead and optimize distributor relationships, growing sales through adding and developing distribution partners Manage the full sales cycle for strategic accounts from lead generation to negotiation and closing Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operations Partner across departments (marketing, service, supply chain, product management) to align strategy and deliver seamless customer experiences Manage budgets, oversee deal execution, and ensure CRM tools are used effectively by the entire sales team Track market trends, analyze competitor activity, and provide actionable insights to leadership Travel within the region to stay close to your team and customers (frequent travel required) Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical or related field (equivalent experience considered) 8+ years of direct B2B selling experience in power generation, industrial equipment, or electrical distribution 5+ years of sales leadership experience managing and developing sales teams Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and achieving ambitious goals Deep understanding of natural gas and diesel generator systems, transfer switches, and power distribution equipment Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills Strong business acumen with hands-on execution ability Preferred Master's degree in a business-related field Experience working with distribution channels and end-user customers Proven success in expanding client bases and building long-term partnerships Established relationships with electrical contractors, engineering firms, and industrial end-users in California Experience with Generac, Cummins, or comparable generator product lines Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr Hymns to Her Global Talents LLC
