Project Manager - Gas Power Generation (Southern California)

Your impact The power utility market is undergoing rapid change, with artificial intelligence and electrification driving exponential load growth across North America. Jacobs is expanding its Energy & Power (E&P) team to deliver reliable power solutions in this evolving market, and you will play a leading role in our North America Gas Power Generation team. You’ll deploy your project‑management skills to develop holistic concept‑level plans and solutions, then take them through detailed design to full execution. This position involves advisory and design solutions for gas power project development and other utility‑scale energy projects, working closely with Technical Leadership, Operations, Client Account Managers and sales professionals on strategically important pursuits. Requirements Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Engineering or a similar scientific background. A project‑management professional (PMP) certification is preferred. At least 10 years of design, consulting, or operations experience working with EPC contractors, OEMs, Owner/Developers, Lenders or regulators with Utility Gas Power experience. Proven ability to engage with clients, develop relationships, win work, and deliver innovative solutions that create value for both client and provider. Demonstrated ability for higher‑level strategic, exploration, concept, and development planning for new utility‑scale power opportunities, including knowledge and application of emerging technologies. Demonstrated skills in concept and development design optimization programs to guide sound technical decisions. Strong communication and technical writing skills. The base salary range for this position is $182,300.00 to $239,325.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
