Clinical Education Resource Nurse RN Acute Care Nights

Job Summary Part‑time (0.6 to 0.9 FTE) Night Shift Clinical Education Resource Nurse (CERN) position at UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, CO. Serves as an onsite education resource for clinical nurses with less than two years of experience, supporting their transition to competency. Schedule & Pay 48 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Night shift. Pay ranges from $38.91 to $60.31 per hour, dependent on experience. The position allows up to 0.9 FTE if a shift is job‑shared. Responsibilities Makes rounds with clinical nurses on orientation or after orientation to provide education and clinical support. Collaborates with unit educators and preceptors to assess learning needs. Participates in new clinical staff orientation, delivering learning activities related to competencies, policies, regulatory requirements, and clinical information technologies. Serves as a mentor to new clinical staff and participates in evaluating their clinical performance with unit leadership. Applies critical thinking, decisive judgment, and initiative to work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing. State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in inpatient, acute care, preceptor, or charge nurse roles. Current or recent experience as a preceptor or charge nurse is preferred. Valid BLS or CPR card (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) valid through at least 60 days of hire.
