Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.This temporary position is located in Rocky Mount, NC - Nash County.Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $34.35 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 141 Storage Rd, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.This position as clinical social worker is needed for children, birth to three, and is located in the catchment area of the Rocky Mount Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA). This position will provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities listed within this vacancy announcement will be used only as management preferences and will be used to screen for the most qualified pool of applicants. Management Preferences:Management prefers applicants with the following:Considerable knowledge of a wide range of behavior and psychosocial problems and their diagnosis and treatment.Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.Considerable knowledge of treatment planningConsiderable knowledge of governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problemsMinimum Education and ExperienceSome state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
