Role Summary The Social Media Manager will be responsible for programming and creating high-quality engaging content specifically for Facebook and Instagram, using trends, analytics, and platform best practices to grow the social media accounts and strengthen the brand’s voice. Job Duties & Responsibilities Content Creation: Responsible for the hands-on creation of high-quality, engaging, platform-specific content for Facebook and Instagram, using trends, analytics, and established strategic direction to grow the accounts and meet performance targets. Scheduling and Publishing : Using social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, or similar) to build and maintain a content calendar, scheduling approved posts at designated times to reach the target audience. Analytics and Reporting : Monitoring the performance of social media posts using analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Native Platform Analytics, Sprout Analytics). This involves tracking metrics such as (but not limited to) views, engagement, and link clicks, and using this data to refine strategies as directed to meet targets. Trend Monitoring : Keeping up with social media trends, platform updates, and industry news to ensure the brand remains relevant and utilizes new opportunities for engagement. Organic Campaign Management : Executing organic social media campaigns in alignment with VP of Content Strategy to promote products, services, or events. Community & Crisis Management : Overseeing day-to-day community management and escalating negative PR issues that arise on social media to the Director of Social Media, providing a plan to respond with tact and professionalism, protecting the brand’s reputation. Coordinate, as needed, with the Moderation team. Team Management : Overseeing and managing assigned team members to ensure cohesive execution, aligned output, accountability, and performance within their respective roles. Qualifications & Skills Required Required Experience 4 years as a Social Media Manager (or similar role) managing Meta (Facebook/Instagram) accounts with 100,000+ followers per account, including experience with a personal brand account 2 years directly supervising a creative/content team (2+ direct reports), delegating assignments, reviewing work product, and holding the team accountable to deadlines Experience managing remote or distributed team members , keeping output aligned across specialized roles (writers, designers, schedulers) Skilled at giving constructive feedback on creative output (copy, post scheduling) and coaching writers toward a defined brand voice Track record of translating senior leadership direction into clear team priorities, including re-prioritizing quickly when strategy shifts Analytical mindset with a demonstrated ability to set audience growth metrics (size + engagement), interpret performance data, and turn it into next-step action plans and KPI-driven results Deep working knowledge of Facebook and Instagram platform policies, algorithms, and best practices Hands-on experience with social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Later) Basic graphic design skills with a strong eye for visual/aesthetic content Demonstrated habit of staying current on social media trends and applying them to content strategy Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment Note: Our application process requires a skills test.
