Product Manager

Head of Product - Sports & Prediction Markets Onyx is building the consumer trading platform for the speculation economy - bringing sports, prediction markets, crypto, and real-world events into one seamless experience. Following our Series A led by Payward, we’re growing the team behind a fast-moving consumer trading platform. We’re looking for a product leader with deep experience across sports, prediction markets, trading, gaming, or other high-engagement consumer products. This person will own the product vision and roadmap for Onyx, working directly with company leadership and leading execution across engineering, design, trading, data, and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can set strategy, make strong product decisions, and drive products from concept through launch and scale. What You’ll Do Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap across sports and prediction markets Lead product development from initial concept through launch, iteration, and scale Build intuitive consumer experiences around market discovery, trading, positions, settlement, and portfolio management Partner closely with engineering, design, trading, data, operations, and leadership Translate complex market mechanics into simple, engaging user experiences Use customer behavior, market performance, and product data to guide prioritization Drive improvements across acquisition, conversion, engagement, retention, and trading activity Establish product processes, operating rhythms, and success metrics as the team grows Balance product velocity with reliability, risk, compliance, and technical complexity Help recruit and develop the broader product organization over time What We’re Looking For Significant product leadership experience within sports, prediction markets, trading, gaming, fintech, or a high-engagement consumer platform A strong understanding of how users discover markets, place trades, manage positions, and evaluate outcomes Experience owning a major consumer product or product line from strategy through execution Deep product judgment and an ability to simplify complex systems Experience working closely with engineering, design, data, trading, and executive leadership Strong analytical skills and a track record of using data to drive product decisions The ability to operate strategically while remaining highly hands-on High ownership, urgency, and comfort building within a fast-moving startup Experience with exchange products, order books, pricing, liquidity, market data, mobile trading applications, or real-time consumer platforms is strongly preferred. Logistics Location: NoHo, New York City Schedule: Hybrid Compensation: $200,000+ in total cash compensation, plus meaningful equity Level: Lead or Head of Product Work authorization: Candidates must already be authorized to work in the United States.
