Sr. Director of Planning and Purchasing

This role is responsible for integrated planning, purchasing execution, and cross-functional alignment that supports customer service, schedule commitments, quality performance, inventory, and material cost. As a key supply chain leader, you'll guide a distributed team in a matrix environment while driving one-plan execution through Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE). Highlights of your roleLead and develop planning and purchasing teams across multiple locations, establishing governance, decision rights, escalation paths, and consistent performance routines across sites. Lead enterprise-wide ERP system transformation initiatives, driving process optimization, stakeholder engagement, change management, and successful adoption of new technology solutions. Drive IBP processes that align demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial targets from corporate forecasts to plant-level execution. Lead S&OP and S&OE processes, identifying constraints, driving tradeoff decisions, monitoring performance against plan, and ensuring effective recovery actions across sites. Oversee supply, demand, and capacity planning while standardizing planning practices and improving planning tools and data accuracy across the network. Provide functional leadership to purchasing teams, ensuring purchasing strategies and execution align with business plans while strengthening supplier engagement and accountability. Own supplier continuity, risk mitigation, inventory strategy, and working capital improvement initiatives to support operational and financial performance. Partner across operations, finance, quality, and engineering to drive one-plan alignment, decision clarity, and operational excellence. You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 10+ years of supply chain experience. 5+ years of leadership experience. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is preferred. Proven success implementing IBP, S&OP, and S&OE processes. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across geographically diverse sites.
