Description

American Traveler is seeking an Inpatient Physical Therapist for a 13-week assignment requiring 1+ years of PT experience and an active Michigan PT license.

Details

• Inpatient setting within the Physical & Occupational Rehabilitation unit
• Patient population includes general orthopedic and orthopedic surgical cases such as nerve entrapment disorders, arthroscopy, total knee and hip, orthopedic trauma, tendonopathy, and sports medicine
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM, with option for a 36-hour week including a shortened Friday shift
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Michigan PT license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of PT experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• At least one supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years required
• Current Physical Therapy skills checklist within 1 year required
• Must be able to continuously stand and sit up to 90% of the time
• Ability to reach with hands and arms and lift/move at least 50 pounds

Additional Information

• Plans and administers medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part
• May be exposed to infectious diseases
• A fit-for-duty physical exam is required if an offer is extended
• Business casual attire or solid-colored scrubs accepted
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required, so first-time travelers may be considered
