What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for oncology patients with high acuity needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs using GE telemetry systems
• Administer medication, including chemotherapy, blood products, and IV therapies
• Manage invasive devices such as PICC lines, ports, central lines, and drains
• Assist with patient assessments, documentation, and care planning
• Respond effectively to rapid response and emergency situations
• Maintain strict infection control and fall prevention protocols

What You Need
Required:

• Valid Ohio RN licensure and certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
• 2+ years of acute care nursing experience, including 1+ years in PCU or telemetry
• Demonstrated proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and IV medication management
• Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity

Preferred:

• Oncology experience (not required but advantageous)
• Skilled in managing blood products, external airway devices, and vent support
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring

About the Assignment
This role is based in the Medical Oncology PCU at a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio. You will care for a diverse patient population with diagnoses such as solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology. The unit features 36 telemetry beds with a focus on high-acuity care, including pediatric care, although prior pediatric experience is not mandatory. You will work in a collaborative environment supporting your professional development and providing the resources you need to succeed.
