About the Position

Physician Assistant

Specialty: Cardiothoracic surgery

Location: North Carolina

Schedule: Night shifts

Setting: Inpatient cardiothoracic and advanced heart failure service

Position Overview

• Provide inpatient clinical support for an advanced heart failure service
• First assist on cardiac surgery cases as outlined in the order requirements
• Perform endoscopic vein harvesting
• Support valve procedures and related coverage needs as outlined in the order requirements
• Document care in Epic

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in physician assistant studies
• Active North Carolina physician assistant license required prior to start
• Active DEA required
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience
• Endoscopic vein harvesting experience required
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify
