Description The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is the Chief Law Enforcement Office in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. TheOffice of Medicaid Fraud, Abuse and Control within OAG is looking for an Investigator II for our WesternEnforcement Section. Investigator II's carry a special position of trust and are expected to conductthemselves and their work in accordance with standards set forth in the Office of Attorney General policiesand guidelines, and to operate within the applicable statutes and regulations. Please be aware, this positionis located in the Western part of the state and will only be assigned cases in that area. As an Investigator II within the Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse, cases assigned in the western part of thestate will be related to: Medicaid provider fraud The abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults who reside in Medicaid funded facilities or Board and Care homes. Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Possess and maintain a Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) law enforcement officer certification through the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council Required to carry and/or use a firearm Excellent communication skills Ability to produce quality written reports Ability to assimilate large volumes of information in order to successfully investigate complicated and multifaceted white-collar cases Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Must have four years experience in the field of investigative law enforcement or a related field of investigation. Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience as a sworn law enforcement officer will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 21 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification. Employees in this classification are subject to the provisions of KRS Chapter 15 and 503 KAR 1:140 relating to peace officer certification as administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council.
