We're Hiring: Billing Specialist | Patterns Behavioral Services Full-Time | On-Site Fullerton, CA 92835 Schedule: Monday ? Friday | 8:00 AM ? 4:30 PM Pay Range: $23 ? $25 per hour About the Role: Patterns Behavioral Services is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to support the accuracy and efficiency of our financial billing operations. In this role, you will take ownership of the billing process, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company standards. You will serve as a key point of contact for billing-related inquiries, collaborating with internal teams and insurance providers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and confident working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the full-cycle billing process Submit accurate and timely insurance claims Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials Communicate with insurance providers and internal teams regarding billing issues Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies Assist with audits and maintain accurate financial records Requirements Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience High school diploma or GED required Strong knowledge of insurance billing and claims processes Experience with CentralReach or similar billing systems preferred Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace Strong written and verbal communication skills Technical & Analytical Skills Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, and commissions Understanding of basic algebra and geometry concepts Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions Comfortable working with both abstract and concrete information Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday Frequent use of hands for computer and administrative tasks Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Visual ability including close, distance, and peripheral vision Benefits Competitive pay commensurate with experience Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and Sick Time Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee discounts Opportunities for career growth and professional development Collaborative and supportive work environment Why Join Us?
