Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized tests and observational methods.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives as well as long-term communications challenges, cognitive functions, or swallowing difficulties.
• Deliver tailored speech therapy interventions that enhance communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills on a personal basis.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate integrated care strategies.
• Provide informative support to patients and families to enhance progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in necessary inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless treatment experience.
• Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional networking to remain current with advancements within the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
