The Neighborhood Clinic (NC), a free urgent care clinic, is seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to serve as Social Work & Mental Health Program Coordinator (SWPC). This is a unique opportunity for a motivated self-starter to take ownership of two growing programs, the Social Work Program and the Mental Health Program , with significant autonomy to shape their direction and impact. This position works directly with other clinic staff to meet the needs of our patients. A good candidate would be energized by the challenge of building something meaningful and have the desire to bridge the gap between vulnerable community members and the resources they need. The SWPC reports directly to the Executive Director.

Work Schedule & Flexibility

This is a hybrid position designed for work-life balance. The SWPC works at least two days per week on-site at the clinic (Monday and Thursday evenings, 4–9 PM), participates in community outreach events, and otherwise works remotely. This structure offers meaningful in-person community connection alongside the flexibility of a partial work-from-home schedule.

Social Work Program

· Provide direct social work services during clinic nights, triaging urgent needs and scheduling follow-up for non-urgent cases.

· Address patient needs including housing, addiction treatment, immigration, mental health referrals, financial resources (DSHS, SSI, VA, etc.), and access-to-care coordination.

· Develop and maintain an up-to-date community resource list for NC patients.

· Complete biopsychosocial assessments and maintain documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

· Supervise MSW practicum students in partnership with UWT, PLU, or other CSWE-accredited programs.

· May be responsible for providing direct care/counseling as needed.

Mental Health Program

· Recruit and coordinate volunteer mental health providers, managing scheduling and clinical space.

· Build and manage partnerships with community organizations to generate referrals for the counseling program.

· Develop outreach and advertising strategies to promote the NC services and mental health program.

· Community outreach and education serving the populations and partners NC works with.

· Create/maintain intake, assessment, and documentation templates for both programs.

Requirements

· Must be a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW),

· Must have an active license in WA state.

· Must have, at minimum, a Master's of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

· Must be comfortable working with an EHR.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bilingual

· Grant writing or fundraising experience

· Previous clinic/medical setting experience is a plus.

The clinic is funded entirely by private donations and staffed by volunteers, and is actively growing its reach through community outreach and future expansion plans.
