Role and Responsibilities: UpEquity is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and execution‑oriented Chief of Staff to work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in driving strategic initiatives, improving organizational effectiveness, and helping the company during a pivotal stage of growth. This is a high‑impact, highly visible role designed for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys solving complex business problems, and is excited to help build and scale a fast‑growing company from the inside. As a Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the leadership team – helping prioritize key initiatives, improve cross‑functional coordination, and ensure critical company objectives move forward efficiently. Responsibilities: Partner closely with the CEO and executive team to drive strategic initiatives and company‑wide priorities Lead cross‑functional projects spanning operations, finance, GTM, product, and organizational development Support executive decision‑making through analytical modeling, business insights, and strategic research Build and maintain operating models, KPI dashboards, and reporting frameworks to support company planning and performance management Assist in board preparation, investor communications, and fundraising‑related workstreams Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable processes and systems across the organization Own special projects and strategic initiatives from conception through execution Help ensure alignment, accountability, and execution across leadership priorities Qualifications: Previous experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, strategic finance, business operations, or high‑growth startups Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations Proven ability to operate autonomously and drive projects forward with minimal oversight Exceptional communication and organizational skills High level of proficiency in Excel and presentation development Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge assumptions and think creatively Comfort operating in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments with constantly shifting priorities Willingness to develop a deep understanding of the real estate and mortgage industry (prior experience not required) Ability to build trust and work effectively across all levels of the organization Desire to help shape processes, systems, and culture from the ground up Benefits: Competitive salary and equity package PTO & Sick Time + 11 holidays to support work/life balance Opportunities for growth and continuous development Direct exposure to company leadership and strategic decision‑making A collaborative and positive work environment – including snacks and drinks daily!
