About This Role The Orthopedics Staff Nurse provides nursing care to a defined group of patients, coordinating and facilitating health care services in collaboration with the health care team. This role is ideal for nurses who are committed to delivering high-quality patient care in an orthopedic setting. Highlights Pay: $44 - $81/hour Location: Tacoma, WA Facility: Kaiser Permanente Schedule: Full Time, 0.9 FTE (M-F with either Tuesday or Wednesday as a possible regular day off) What You'll Do Provide ongoing assessment of nursing care needs using the nursing process. Develop written plans of care for patient needs and assist in setting health care goals. Provide nursing interventions safely and competently, including telephone consultations. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for specific age populations. Initiate nursing admission database and discharge planning in collaboration with inpatient staff. Communicate patients' psychosocial, cultural, and emotional needs during interactions. Develop educational components for nursing care plans and provide teaching/counseling. Integrate health promotion and preventive care into ongoing assessments. Adhere to documentation, safety, and infection control standards. Participate in continued education programs and nursing research.
