Senior Software Developer

The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, and supporting enhancements and troubleshooting for a portfolio of correctional system applications. This role involves integrating multiple risk assessment tools into a unified platform connected to offender tracking systems, leveraging cloud technologies and modern development frameworks to deliver scalable, secure, and stable web and desktop applications. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web and desktop applications using Microsoft Azure and .NET technologies.
• Translate business requirements and functional specifications into tested, working applications.
• Integrate LSI-OR, RASO, and ODARA risk assessment tools into a single platform with connectivity to OTIS.
• Develop and support cloud-based solutions including Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
• Perform unit testing, code reviews, and ensure adherence to best practices in development and security.
• Design, build, model, and configure database management systems using Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.
• Implement DevOps CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for automated build, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Conduct knowledge transfer to full-time employees, including documentation and code repository management.
• Analyze and resolve complex system issues with minimal business impact.

• 10+ years of experience building and maintaining stable, secure, and scalable web and desktop applications using Azure Cloud and Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Strong experience with full life-cycle development using Microsoft Azure, .NET, C#/MVC, Entity Framework, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Proven expertise in Azure DevOps, Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Logic Apps.
• 5+ years of experience designing, building, modeling, and configuring database management systems, particularly Azure SQL Database and SQL Server.
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines and automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile software development practices.
• Strong understanding of web, accessibility, and security standards and best practices.

• Experience with frontend JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, VueJS, or React.
• Familiarity with Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
• Experience with prototyping and UI/UX design principles.
• Previous experience working within public service or enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of team collaboration tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS).

• Must work onsite for a minimum of 5 days per week.
• Assignment is subject to security clearances and contract timelines.
• Knowledge transfer to full-time employees is mandatory before assignment completion.
• Adherence to strict coding, documentation, and version control standards is required.

• Standard work hours are 7.25 hours per day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, excluding breaks.
• Work schedule may be subject to adjustment based on project needs.
