About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Estimating to provide executive leadership in the estimating and preconstruction functions, with a focus on guiding bid strategy and pricing for complex infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of senior estimators, establishing estimating standards, and overseeing the preparation of various bid estimates. This role is pivotal in determining the company's project pursuits and competitive positioning in the market, requiring a combination of technical estimating expertise, leadership capability, and strategic judgment. Candidates for the Vice President of Estimating position should have a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field, with a preference for a Professional Engineer (PE) license or industry certifications. A minimum of 15 years' experience in heavy civil construction, particularly in estimating large and complex infrastructure projects, is essential. The role demands a strong understanding of DOT procurement processes, experience with heavy civil estimating platforms, and the ability to evaluate risk and competitiveness at an executive level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, collaboration skills, and the ability to work closely with operations, executive leadership, and business development teams.
