Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple routes, drivers, and delivery schedules. MUST BE BILINGUAL AND HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THE NY&NJ PORT TERMINALS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with drivers, customers, and internal staff.
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including familiarity with dispatch or transportation management software.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems quickly, and make sound decisions in changing situations.
- Knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, including routing, scheduling, and regulatory considerations (prior experience in trucking or freight dispatch is a plus).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
- High level of reliability, professionalism, and customer service orientation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in logistics or transportation is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Newark, NJ, with flexibility for shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on operational needs.
