We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support strategic initiatives and operational improvement efforts. This role collaborates with business leaders and cross-functional teams to evaluate organizational needs, analyze complex information, and develop technology-driven solutions that enhance business performance. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, project leadership experience, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective system and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex business and systems initiatives by evaluating current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and recommending solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple functions to gather requirements, establish priorities, and translate business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
• Manage project planning and coordination activities, including timeline development, risk assessment, issue resolution, and successful implementation of solutions.
• Analyze large and complex datasets using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and other reporting and analytics platforms to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate system performance, data integrity, and workflow effectiveness to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and overall business outcomes.
• Develop and execute testing strategies for systems and applications, ensuring issues are identified, documented, and resolved prior to deployment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members by promoting best practices in business analysis, documentation, process improvement, and solution delivery.
• Conduct research, assess emerging business needs, and present findings and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure solutions are successfully implemented and adopted.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned in support of organizational objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis

• Proven success leading cross-functional projects or enterprise-level initiatives with accountability for stakeholder engagement, coordination, and risk management.

• Strong ability to analyze business processes, perform gap analysis, and translate operational needs into technology-focused solutions.

• Hands-on experience with analytical and reporting tools such as Power BI and SQL for data analysis and decision support.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships, facilitate collaboration, and resolve issues effectively.

• Demonstrated organizational skills, critical thinking, initiative, and a high standard of customer service.

• Previous experience working with Medicaid or Medicare data, especially claims and enrollment information, is preferred.
