Production Supervisor of Katerra Manufacturing will be responsible for all aspects of component manufacturing. The primary role is to ensure the company's products and processes align with Corporate business goals and objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing the production activities and achieving production targets in quality, productivity, efficiency, safety, cost control, and staff development
• Ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, federal and/or Company policies and procedures
• Right-size capacity with an emphasis on maximizing efficiency and profitability, by analyzing forecasted demand, translating into capacity requirements, and putting processes and staffing in place to ensure our customer's and business needs are achieved
• Incorporates best systems, such as SAP, and other production activity control techniques to reduce excess inventory, overtime, labor, and other waste streams
• Develop and improve production manufacturing processes for the purpose of improving overall quality, reducing lead-times and lowering overall costs of operations by using Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma and Total Quality Management applications where necessary
• Responsible for direct labor management

Team Development / Leadership

• Oversee, direct, and organize work
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and high performance that values learning and a commitment to quality and customer service
• Provide sound leadership, coaching, mentoring and direction for personnel development, morale improvement, and staff organization
• Establish and monitor performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals, and administer salary adjustments, and monitor and evaluate results
• Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach

Safety Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance in establishing work procedures and safety guidelines
• Enforce all company safety rules and regulations and apply safe work practices in all job tasks
• Report safety hazards and unsafe conditions to the safety manager/committee
• Provide recommendations on how to eliminate or reduce discovered safety hazards
• Establish and maintain a safe work environment through ensuring compliance of OSHA Government safety rules and regulations, conducting internal safety meetings and develops safety awareness programs, along with periodic safety training

Required Skills & Experience

• Working knowledge of lumber standards, grades, and quality
• Familiarity with inventory protocols and management
• Unfailing focus on customer service with a proven ability to deliver quality results on-time
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution
• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with management, as well as hourly staff
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, learning and successfully working in multicultural environments
