Job Title CLINICAL TRIALS COORDINATOR 1, 2 or 3 Employee Type Unclassified Staff Department Surgery Campus Location SURGERY/FULL TIME Job Summary LSU Health Sciences Center, Department of Surgery in New Orleans is seeking a research Clinical Trial Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. This position focuses on clinical research within the Department of Surgery. The CTC will work directly with Dr. Mary Maluccio and other surgical oncology faculty on multiple clinical research projects, including industry‑funded studies. Key responsibilities include regulatory paperwork, IRB submission, patient screening, consenting, and enrollment into the study. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.), Healthcare/Public Health, or a related field. Certification: Clinical Trial Coordinator 2 or 3: CCRC/CCRP or related Clinical Research Certification. Clinical Trials Coordinator 1: 1 year of experience. Clinical Trials Coordinator 2: 3 years of experience. Clinical Trials Coordinator 3: 5 years of experience. Experience and Substitution Required experience includes recruitment or other public health related work; research or clinical experience in a hospital/clinic/academic setting. Substitution policies: at the CTC 1 or 2 level, an LPN and 2 additional years of experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree. At the CTC 2 or 3 level, one additional year of Clinical Trials experience may substitute for the CCRC/CCRP certification at the department's discretion. At any level, a Master’s or MD degree can substitute for one year of experience.
