GENERAL ENGINEER

Duties

You will act as the principal contact point and technical specialist on non-nuclear system testing and/or work control of an assigned ship.

You will coordinate and execute detailed test procedures based on Naval Sea System Command (NAVSEA) derived specifications.

You will ensure timely actions are taken to place systems in a safe condition if abnormal or unexpected conditions or operating parameters occur during the performance of testing or system operations.

You will ensure all prerequisites are satisfied prior to the commencement of testing or operations and stopping work or testing which could prevent safe performance of authorized operations.

You will provide technical direction and supervision for the assignment of work to a group of employees in conducting the work control and testing programs.
