THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR BOOKKEEPER - ACCOUNTANT
YOUR SCHEDULE:
This hybrid position perfectly complements your work-life balance. It allows you to work in the office for two days and remotely for three days. We just ask that you live in the Maryland area.
YOUR ROLE:
As a Bookkeeper - Accountant, your days are filled with diverse responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the company. You start your day by completing all bookkeeping tasks accurately and in a timely manner, producing detailed monthly financial packages, and generating indirect cost reports and dashboards for management review. You pull monthly bank statements, credit card statements, and payroll reports, ensuring proper coding of all transactions and reconciling accounts. You also handle client monthly invoicing, contribute to internal audit activities, and review and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement. With regular communication with the senior accounting associate and close collaboration with the accountant, your day is engaging and impactful.
OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, audit, or finance
- 1+ years of experience
- Experience as a staff accountant with a focus on month-end processes and internal audit
- Live in the Maryland area
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Being CPA certified is highly preferred.
