We want you to think big, to solve challenges, and positively impact our clients.JOB OVERVIEWThe Post-Trade Technologies team plays a critical role in providing the technology platform and support for the firm’s global Trade Coordination and Trade Operations teams to process trade confirmations and settlements with our brokers and custodians. We are currently seeking a strong Senior Systems Analyst to play a key role in delivering solutions to our business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain a world-class platform. Since the role requires frequent interaction with both business users and IT stakeholders across multiple teams - excellent communication, collaboration and delivery skills are essential. You will work with, and learn from exceptional investment, trading and operations professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments. You should be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively under pressure and balance multiple priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join a strong, collaborative team in a senior level role.RESPONSIBILITIESInteract directly with business partners at all levels of the organization to define, analyze, and document requirements, as well as set prioritiesAct as a champion and trusted advisor for the needs of our business partnersDevelop deep knowledge and expertise in Wellington specific workflowsAuthor functional, design and support documentationsCollaborate with software developers, database architects, vendors and other IT and business teams to analyze and determine functional specifications and UI design for new applications and enhancements to existing applicationsDevelop a strong partnership with the delivery team to ensure on-time, scalable, and high-quality business solutionsProvide regular status reporting and issue tracking on projectsProvide input into system design to help the development team define effort and implementation schedulesProvide oversight for the various phases of testing and user acceptanceOn a rotational basis, provide production support to our business users and act as an escalation point person for support issues that require detailed analysis and managementManage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions and follow-upEngage in Vendor/Broker management tasks and work with our business team to execute project work, enhancements and raise defects on vendor platformsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance or related subject5+ years BA or system analysis experienceUnderstanding of financial instruments such as equities, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards and FXExcellent presentation and communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detailStrong client relationship skills and proven ability to build consensus Candidates must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and an ability to work with various internal teams to execute on that visionExperience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needsExperience writing requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plansExperience in IT change, incident and problem management and SDLCChange agent, creative, innovative and focused on continuous improvementHands-on knowledge of SQL, or another relational database technologyExperience using project tracking tools, such as Jira or Service NowExperience supporting critical production applicationsHigh degree of enthusiasm to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced, business-critical and team oriented-environmentIntellectual curiosity and interest to learn independently and from peersNot sure you meet 100% of our qualifications? The base salary range for this position is:USD 80,000 - 150,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
