Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is looking for Associate Electrical Mechanics to join our Executive Fleet team in San Antonio, TX. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location (San Antonio, TX). This position may require the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start may be required. Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for this position. This position requires the ability to pass an assessment during the training cycle.Position Responsibilities:Perform connector terminations including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiringAbility and understanding of routing instructions and handling of harnessesPerform sealing, wrapping, bonding, tying, and closure of wire harnesses and cables in accordance with standard processesRead and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modifications and repairsUse tooling assemblies and fixtures for depot level modification and repair of electrical wiringPerform assembly, installation, visual inspection of physical characteristics, modification of wire bundles & electrical assemblies, operational and quality checks of aircraftTroubleshoot organizational and depot maintenance level malfunctions in aircraft electrical and comms/nav-systemsInterpret standard work instructions, charts, tables, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal and electronic orders, job layouts, etc...Use all equipment in accordance with established safety and operating proceduresPerform all tasks involved in the coordination, preparation, and movement of material and toolsOperate riding type electric powered elevating equipment to accomplish work assignmentsMaintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned workAscend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads of approximately 35 poundsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):4+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems, shop mathematics and practices4+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures4+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systemsAbility to work variable shifts including weekends and overtimePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years of experience with avionics systems, shop mathematics and practices and electrical/electronic theoriesFAA certification in Airframe and/or Power PlantConflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
