Our ATX Location is Looking for a Day-time Router!Overview:Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in South Florida. With deliveries 365-days a year, 7-days a week and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores and retail outlets.Accountabilities:Create efficient delivery routes, incorporating travel and service times, DOT restrictions and traffic patterns.Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.Works with manager to coordinate best routes, while understanding staffing levels and drivers’ capabilities.Maximize truck capacity for most efficient routesFollow up with Drivers to communicate any areas of improvement or concerns regarding routesEnsure timely deliveries to customers with time constraintsCoordinate pick up of returns while ensuring efficient routing and safe load transportation.Pull customer orders & transfers efficiently and accuratelyAssemble orders, transfers in identified lag area making sure they are properly packed and labeledStack large orders on pallets and secure using stretch wrapVerify that product and product count is accurateLoad must be stable & secure to prevent damage and to meet DOT requirementsDaily checks on lift truck and battery if directedRequirements:High school education or equivalentExperience with routing software and logistics preferredDemonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening)Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast pacedData entry experienceOperate with ownership, be a self-starter, and have a strong attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft OutlookCritical analytical skillsAbility to adapt to change in accordance with the business needs of the companyFlexibility to shift schedule and work overtime as needed by the business unitMust bring proven ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive informationBilingual Preferred in English and SpanishEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksAble to work on weekendsPhysical Demands/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
