Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid teaching certification for Special Education
- Strong knowledge of current instructional methods and best practices for supporting diverse learners
- Experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Patience, adaptability, and a commitment to student success
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with diverse special needs, ensuring each child has access to an inclusive education
- Design and adapt lesson plans, materials, and assessments to meet individual IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and update IEP documentation as required
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate student needs and monitor growth
- Provide guidance and support to classroom assistants and paraprofessionals
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their full potential
