Project Manager

Overview An established, family-owned commercial general contractor with over 150 years of history is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing Albany team. As a Project Manager, you'll lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You'll work closely with owners, architects, subcontractors and field teams while taking ownership of the commercial and operational success of your projects. Projects span a variety of sectors including commercial office, healthcare, government, higher education, institutional, industrial and large-scale renovations. Responsibilities Manage commercial construction projects from award through final completion. Develop and maintain project schedules alongside the dedicated scheduling team. Oversee project budgets, cost forecasts and financial performance. Manage subcontractor procurement, bid reviews, scope development and contract negotiations. Coordinate owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and field personnel. Monitor project safety, quality and schedule performance. Identify and resolve project risks and construction challenges. Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. Lead Owner/Architect/Contractor (OAC) meetings and maintain strong client relationships. Manage project documentation, change orders and closeout activities. Qualifications 5-10+ years of commercial construction experience. Proven experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion. Strong understanding of project budgeting, subcontractor management and scheduling. Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
