Critical Care Nurse (ICU/CCU)

Location: Hoquiam, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 1845-0715

Job Description: As a Critical Care Nurse in the ICU/CCU, you will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients, applying scientific nursing principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. This role involves consulting and coordinating with healthcare team members, administering medications, and responding to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, and record essential information.
• Provide bedside care and monitor patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care and self-management of conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Respond to life-saving situations and initiate corrective actions based on monitoring equipment.
• Record all care information accurately, concisely, and promptly.
• Monitor specialized equipment and individual patient needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse within the state of practice, adhering to nurse licensure compact regulations.
• Critical care experience in a hospital setting is required.
• Proof of right to work in the United States.
