Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to critically ill patients using scientific nursing principles
• Consult and coordinate with the health care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications via oral, subcutaneous, and IV routes; report adverse reactions per policy
• Monitor and adjust specialized critical care equipment including cardiac monitors, ventilators, respirators, and oxygen pumps; interpret and record hemodynamic data such as central venous pressures and pulmonary artery pressures
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic and lab tests to assess patient condition; collect samples and evaluate lab reports
• Initiate and deliver patient and family education plans covering post-treatment care, medication self-administration, diet, and rehabilitation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or a qualifying Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
• Compact license holders must provide verification of suicide training and demographic data verification via Nursys e-Notify
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated critical care experience in a hospital setting
• Proof of right to work in the United States

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, phlebotomy, and IV protocol application
• Proficiency monitoring catheters, leads, and tubing for proper placement and function in a critical care environment
