Dental Assistant

Location: Southern Dental Birmingham
Position Type: Full-Time

Southern Dental Birmingham is seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team! We are looking for a dedicated professional who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Schedule

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• One Friday per month (rotating): 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for patients
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
• Assist with documenting patient information and treatment notes
• Support the clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of clinical chairside dental assisting experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• X-ray certification preferred
