Mechanical AssemblerWe are seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join a leading OEM manufacturing team responsible for building custom industrial equipment and machinery. In this role, you assemble large mechanical systems, install and route hydraulic lines, and support the build of complex capital equipment from blueprint through to final assembly. You work hands-on with tools and technical drawings to bring custom machines from concept to completed product, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.ResponsibilitiesAssemble custom OEM machinery and industrial equipment from initial components through final build.Install and route hydraulic tubing, hydraulic lines, hoses, fittings, and related components.Build mechanical subassemblies and complete final machine assembly according to engineering specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, hydraulic schematics, and detailed work instructions.Perform mechanical alignments, adjustments, and equipment testing to ensure proper operation.Utilize hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, measuring devices, and other assembly equipment safely and effectively.Verify that all assemblies meet quality standards and engineering requirements before release.Troubleshoot assembly issues and perform mechanical adjustments to resolve fit, function, or performance problems.Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to support continuous improvement and resolve build issues.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with company safety policies.Support machine startup and operational testing activities, including setup and validation of equipment performance.Follow production schedules and work instructions to meet deadlines and support consistent output.Participate in a team-oriented assembly environment, sharing knowledge and supporting coworkers as needed.Essential SkillsMechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly tasks.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and mechanical schematics.Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems.Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on large industrial equipment safely.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team setting.Comfort working with production equipment, machine operation, and assembly line processes.Attention to detail when using measuring devices and torque wrenches to meet specification requirements.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience installing hydraulic systems, including tubing, hoses, and fittings.Experience in OEM equipment manufacturing or custom machinery assembly.Experience assembling CNC machines, industrial equipment, automation systems, or heavy machinery.Hands-on experience with mechanical alignments, machine setup, and equipment testing.Knowledge of hydraulic troubleshooting and basic hydraulic system operation.Industrial maintenance or millwright experience is highly beneficial.Technical school or trade school training in mechanical, industrial, or related disciplines.Exposure to CNC equipment, including programming, setup, and operation of 3-axis and 5-axis machines.Experience with grinders, machine operation, and production environments.Comfort using a variety of assembly tools and equipment in a manufacturing setting.Why Work Here?You join a stable, first-shift manufacturing environment that offers competitive compensation and consistent overtime opportunities to maximize earnings. You will work around large CNC machining centers, lathes, and turning equipment, as well as custom industrial machinery and capital equipment. The work centers on custom and complex projects rather than high-volume, repetitive production, giving you variety and technical challenge in your day-to-day tasks. The schedule follows a standard first shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with frequent overtime opportunities on a 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM schedule, providing consistent chances to increase your earnings while maintaining predictable hours.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Ford City, PA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $62400.00/yr.
