Resident Assistant (RA) – Afternoon Shift (0.8 FTE)

Suncrest Assisted Living is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Resident Assistant (RA) to join our overnight team. This is a 0.8 FTE position working 2:30 PM – 11PM , providing personalized care and support to our residents while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night.

As a Resident Assistant, you will play an important role in helping residents maintain their dignity and independence while creating a warm, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate enjoys building meaningful relationships, works well independently, and is committed to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Schedule

• 0.8 FTE
• Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
• Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Wage

$17.00 – $17.75 per hour , based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming, and mobility as needed.
• Answer resident call lights promptly and provide compassionate care.
• Observe residents for changes in physical or emotional condition and report concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting resident independence.
• Medication administration 
• Complete routine safety checks and maintain a secure environment during overnight hours.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.
• Accurately document resident care and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Follow all state regulations, facility policies, and infection prevention practices.
