Patent Litigation Associate

Connecticut Offices; Boston, MA; Miami, FL; New York, NY; Washington, DC Day Pitney is seeking an associate with 4–6 years of litigation experience to join our expanding IP Litigation team. The position may be based in our Connecticut, Boston, New York, Washington, DC, or Miami office. Experience in commercial or intellectual property litigation is required; patent litigation experience is preferred. The ideal candidate has experience drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; taking and defending depositions; preparing and responding to discovery; conducting legal research; managing cases; and participating in hearings and trial preparation. We are especially interested in candidates who want to develop or deepen a patent litigation practice. Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is preferred but not required. A bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific field is a plus. The actual salary offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, office location, and other job-related factors. Attorneys may also be eligible for a discretionary year-end merit bonus in accordance with the Firm's applicable bonus program.
