Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures in the cath lab. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure adherence to clinical standards and patient safety during invasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and review relevant medical histories prior to procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and responses throughout cardiac cath and EP interventions.
• Administer medications and sedation following physician orders and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
• Document procedures, patient observations, and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to optimize patient care and procedural outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab setting required.
• Current state RN license in Michigan.
• Certification in BLS (AHA) and ACLS required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and related nursing practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond swiftly to emergencies.
