This will be a 30 day trial to qualify for the 18-month Technician Development Program.Key Job ResponsibilitiesAssist in performing basic auto body repairs, including dent removal, sanding, and painting under the supervision ofexperienced technicians.Learn to use and maintain tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and efficiency in the workplace.Participate in vehicle inspections to identify damages and develop repair plans.Collaborate with team members to complete repair projects within specified timelines and quality standards.Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.Education and/or Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma/GED preferredTrade/Vocational school graduates preferredSome on-the-job experience is preferredI-CAR Gold Class preferredRequired Skills and AbilitiesMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsMust be able to stand for long periods of time in the repair of a vehicleMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlMust be able to visually inspect vehicle damage in a variety of weather conditions.Must be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle parts.Strong interest in the automotive industry and a desire to learn and develop technical skills.Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environmentBasic knowledge of auto body repair techniques and tools is preferred but not requiredMust be at least 18 years of ageGood communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning and problem-solvingReliable transportation to commute to the workplaceOther RequirementsMaintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workersComply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.Present a friendly, pleasant, accommodating, cheerful, courteous, helpful, and outgoing disposition toward fellow employeesat all times.Promote a positive spirit of teamwork within the companyMaintain a well-groomed appearance.Maintain a clean, organized work area at all timesPerform all assigned activities according to the Standardized Operating Procedures of the company.Continuously strive to improve the efficiency of the production department and overall company operation, and be willing toparticipate in company meetings.Participate in training programs as required to maintain the technical and professional skills and techniques necessary forthis position.Extend normal working hours as necessary to accommodate workload and customer requirements.Requirements to Qualify for Entry into TDPMentor agrees to accept traineeZero unplanned absencesZero Tardiness violationsHas worked with selected mentor for 90% or more of the 30-day time frameTrainee passes final Pre-TDP assessmentMentor signs training agreementPlease note, this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
