We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources Department. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will plan, develop, and implement a variety of Human Resource strategies and programs (or initiatives) to support the accomplishment of goals and objectives, foster an environment promoting organizational communication and understanding, interact with managers, supervisors, and employees on a daily basis to ensure Human Resources solutions are implemented and results are achieved. Youll be part of a mission-driven team that values your expertise, supports your growth, and empowers you to make a real difference in your community./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3ulliAdheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities./liliUnderstands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures./liliMaintains confidentiality as related to patient information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense./liliFollows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc./liliServes as a resource to supervisors to interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations and make recommendations; serves as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies, and helping resolve work-related problems./liliDirects the administration of benefit programs; oversees, evaluates, and makes recommendations for annual renewal; manages annual open enrollment process and timeline./liliSupervises and monitors the various procedures for new hires, employee status changes, LCE, and terminations./liliOversees and administers the recruitment process, including applicant pipeline, candidate evaluation process, onboarding and orientation; improves processes based on trend analysis to meet hiring, retention, and turnover business objectives./liliDevelops and executes compensation analyses./liliManages Workers Compensation and unemployment claims and serves as primary contact with TPAs./liliMaintains and expands knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state laws/regulations affecting Human Resources management; identifies trends that could impact organizational objectives and/or optional resources; interprets appropriate laws and policies and advises management accordingly./liliInvestigates and manages grievances and complaints; mediates workplace disputes, provides recommendations for resolution./liliAdministers the performance management system and disciplinary procedures, including review of performance evaluations for compliance; provides guidance to supervisors on development of appropriate performance improvement plans or other necessary intervention to ensure enhanced productivity; identifies trends for employee and supervisor training and development; works with department leaders to develop benchmarks for evaluations./liliPlans, organizes, directs, controls, or coordinates personnel and/or supervisor training activities./liliAdministers and oversees the process of all Family and Medical Leave Act and Americans with Disabilities Act events and ensures compliance with Department of Labor regulations./liliAdministers and oversees the CareStar job description process; including generation, review, evaluation, position classification and compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act./liliAnalyzes employment-related data and prepares required reports; develops, prepares, generates, and analyzes ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to employee personnel information and data, including, but not limited to, benefit costs, staffing levels/deployment, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, compensation, etc.; effectively utilizes Human Resources software to obtain, store, and analyze pertinent data and information; analyzes trends in turnover and makes recommendations to improve retention./liliServes on work groups, community groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested./liliPerforms other projects and duties as assigned./li/ulh3Minimum Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors Degree required; 1-2 previous years of experience in Human Resources preferred./liliKnowledge of State and Federal employment law, including but not limited to, Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and current practices and trends./liliDetail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills, ability to use logic and reasoning, and the ability to manage own time./liliExcellent written and oral communication skills./liliProficient computer skills and familiarity with payroll systems and suite of Microsoft Office programs./liliValid drivers license and car insurance as required by State law./li/ulh3Why Join CareStar?/h3ulliCompetitive salary based on experience and education/liliComprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance/lili401(k) with a generous company match/liliPaid time off + 10 paid holidays/liliEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) become a part-owner in the company/liliSupportive, mission-driven culture focused on improving lives/li/ulpReady to make a difference?
