Warehouse Associate - 2nd Shift

Location: Arden, NC 28704 Pay rate: $17.83/hr (Base) + $2.00/hr Shift Differential Note: The shift differential is currently at a temporary $2/hr rate. Once an end date is determined, it will return to the standard $1/hr.

Work schedule: Mon - Fri, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

• Overtime Hours: 4:00 PM - 1:30 AM
• Saturday OT: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Sunday OT: Available as needed

Overview

The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for selecting and operating material handling equipment (Pallet jacks, Forklifts, etc.) to move products and build customer orders. As a key component of our delivery chain, you will ensure orders are accurately packed and loaded onto delivery trucks for customer arrival. This role requires working in a fast-paced environment where safety and accuracy are top priorities.

Job Specifications

Daily Responsibilities

• Order Selection: Accurately build customer orders for shipment on a repetitive basis, ensuring correct product types and quantities.
• Freight Operations: Efficiently load and unload freight and move products to storage areas using appropriate equipment.
• Material Handling: Safely operate, inspect, and perform minor maintenance on equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Assist with physical inventory counts; perform labeling, sorting, strapping, and repacking; change or charge forklift batteries.
• Safety & Quality: Inspect products for damage and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately; maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Must Have Skills / Requirements

• Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk for the duration of the shift; ability to lift 50 lbs from floor to waist and vice versa.
• Operational Skills: Ability to operate warehouse machinery and utilize hand-held calculators for basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Safety & Gear: Must possess steel-toe shoes and be able to wear all required PPE for the duration of the shift.
• Communication: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English and apply common-sense problem-solving to daily tasks.
• Environment: Understanding of height elevations and no limitations regarding working at height.

Education & Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: Knowledge of appropriate material handling, safety, and warehouse standards.
