Polysomnographic Technologist

$1196.80/week - Job Summary: The CT technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans with precision, ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis. They follow safety protocols, maintain equipment, and assist with radiopharmaceutical procedures as needed. Responsibilities: Operate CT equipment using appropriate techniques to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Perform daily quality control and calibration checks on all imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance. Inject patients with radioactive materials following physician orders and established protocols. Document department activities accurately by maintaining logs, manuals, and charge records; report equipment issues promptly. Conduct quality assurance and safety tests, adhering to radiation safety standards and the ALARA principle. Prepare and verify radiopharmaceutical doses, receiving and documenting delivery, and verifying activity levels before administration. Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology. Hold a valid New York State License (L.R.T.) and ARRT certification, including CT certification. Possess at least 1 year of clinical CT experience. Be certified in BLS (Basic Life Support). Meet all licensing and certification requirements set by NYS DOH and ARRT.
